winter is a time when birds really need our help and support. this 3d model of a bird feeder is designed for self-production using a 3d printer. its dimensions and the configuration of the walls are designed to feed small birds such as ****, bullfinches, sparrows and the like.
all the details of this feeder are designed with the desire to simplify and speed up the printing process. you will not need the use of auxiliary supports, and, accordingly, getting rid of them after printing. the whole structure is assembled without the use of glue or other additional fasteners. each part of the feeder is saved in a separate stl file.
this feeder can be made in two versions: 1. for mounting on any suitable part of the building, for example, railings, fences, beams, etc.; 2. for hanging on threads.
print out the specified number of parts listed below, depending on the necessary and suitable option for attaching the feeder.
set for option 1: "floor or roof" - 2 pieces; "wall type-1" - 2 pieces; "wall type-2" - 2 pieces; "clamp short" - 2 pieces; "clamp long" - 2 pieces; "bracket" - 1 piece; "pad" - 1 piece; "bolt m10x30x1.5"* or "bolt m10x36x1.5"* or "bolt m10x42x1.5"* - 1 piece;
*the "bolt..." model has a metric thread with an external nominal diameter of 10 mm. and a thread pitch of 1.5 mm. these 3 models differ only in the length of the threaded part - 30 mm, 36 mm and 42 mm, respectively. use the model that suits your situation. if you need a bolt model with a longer length, then simply cut out a piece from the middle of the threaded part, a multiple of 1.5 mm in length and add it to the middle of the thread, pushing apart the extreme parts of the bolt. at the first tightening, i recommend lubricating the thread with a silicone lubricant that is safe for plastic.
set for option 2: "floor or roof" - 2 pieces; "wall type-1" - 2 pieces; "wall type-2" - 2 pieces; "clamp short" - 4 pieces;
improvements have already been made to the model relative to the first models (as in the photo), for example: - added stiffeners to the "bracket"; - added stiffeners and drainage holes in the "floor or roof" to eliminate deflection from the clamps and preserve the possibility of rainwater leaking out of the feeder; - increased projections on the bolt head to increase the convenience of twisting.
