Earthworm Jim (EWJ) is a platform video game developed by Shiny Entertainment and published by Virgin Interactive. The main character of the game is an anthropomorphic earthworm named Jim, dressed in a robotic supersuit and fighting evil. The game was released for the Mega Drive/Genesis console in 1994 and subsequently ported to the SNES, Game Gear, Game Boy, and PC. Upon release, the game was praised by journalists for its detailed animation, elaborate gameplay, and eccentric absurd humor.
